Being a senior is very stressful. College visits, graduation, scholarships, degrees, majors, minors, tuitions, SAT’s, and ACT’s- it becomes overwhelming! It’slike we come back from summer vacations and all of a sudden “they” want us to start making decisions that will ultimately dictate the rest of our lives.

The choices we make this year hold the course of our futures, and they are some of the most important choices we will ever make. The time has come for us to start choosing our path, our majors, our careers, and occupations.

Some are well prepared and ready with confidence to sign their admission papers, but for some, this time has come all too soon leaving them feeling undecided and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, a majority of the seniors at CCHS find ourselves in the second group, but it’s o.k. There is still time- just no time- to waste.

Seniors should start researching careers that they are interested in, and they need to visit colleges. They need to start signing up for the SAT and ACT as well.

The counselors in the Guidance office can help guide the seniors through this process, and seniors can find them during lunch at the counselor’s corner.

If you’re still undecided about a school or you just feel like exploring your options, the Probe fair is perfect for you. It’s on October 31 in the CCHS gym, but you have to sign up at www.gotocollegefairs.com and print off your barcode. There is a deadline to sign up, so don’t hesitate. All the major colleges will be there.
